I™€™ve had this oven almost two years and I™€™m on my third igniter. It works fine most of the time but very concerning that the OEM parts are such poor quality. WiFi connection is a nice touch but that doesn™€™t always work either. I™€™d prefer if the burners had a bit more control, for most of them, the difference between low and high is minuscule. I usually end up using a 2 out of 10 for most things

I never thought I would have such a beautiful range in my house. The room to cook on this 36" range is so wonderful when cooking large meals for a crowd of people you are entertaining. The large cooktop has enough room to fit several pots and pans at the same time. The burners are even, adjust properly from a lower to a higher flame. The oven is large enough to accommodate several pans to bake at the same. I have owned several different brands before this one and I am loving this one the best so far. The only thing I am looking for is a wide enough rear filler to put behind the range to close the gap to the wall. Hopefully I will have this unit for years.

Dangerous fire hazard

Don't buy this range if you have kids, pets or elderly people in your house. The slightest bump on the stove knobs will light them. There is no safety switch and no after market covers to lock the knobs from turning on. We realized after a couple of family get togethers and unintentional lightings by people walking past the range that it is dangerous. I also saw my dog turn it on when he bumped into a knob while wrestling with our other dog. I have resorted to removing all 6 knobs off of this $6,000+ range...not exactly the look I was going for in my brand new kitchen. Customer service brushed me off when I wrote them looking for a fix. They thanked me for the idea of a safety feature and said they would consider it for future models. Interesting that they have safety locks on other models.

All looks but just ok

I use this oven on a daily basis and have been so disappointed with this unit. After less than 2 years of use, the oven stopped working. We were reminded that the warranty was only for one year. How companies are able to get away with selling products that don't last (after paying over $7K for the unit) is not the main issue and my husband was able to replace the ignitor that was defective. My biggest irk is the fact that it isn't self-clean. This 'steam clean' function is a farce and doesn't get rid of stubborn stains. Additionally, to set the oven to certain temperatures, you absolutely need to use the app which causes unnecessary delays for a busy cook and lastly, the way to set the timer and the temperatures (if you do it on the stove panel) is, for some reason, not user friendly. This causes the stove and timer to turn off when you think it's still going. All this to say, it's like dating the football jock. All looks but no depth!

In my use, the simmer is not low enough. When cooking sauce it still tends to boil. Love the continuous top grates. No more having to lift full pots.The convection mode works really well for big batches of cookies. 4 dozen at a time. The oven is huge, great for large turkeys. Love the looks. I don't use a wok so that right front burner feature is useless. Maybe make it an option. I wish the oven lights were brighter.

Look, I am no professional chef but I am above average. I have had my Cafe for over a year now and I could not be happier. It is definitely nicer than my 30" other brand I had before. No issues with service and nice to have a larger oven. I wasn't planning on purchasing but while doing a kitchen remodel I decided I wouldn't be happy with putting the old oven back in. Quickly found that the other professional ovens weren't meant for my wallet. Happy to find more reasonably priced and excellent alternative.

We bought this range approximately one month ago and have been very pleasantly surprised at how GOOD this range really is. The range warms quickly and bakes expertly, the burners don't cook 'hot' but rather can simmer as well as heat at medium and high heats, something most gas burners struggle to do, and the 'smart' portion is amazing. We can use the app on our phone to control the range, receive notifications, as well as utilize Alexa to turn the range on and off. While not game changers, these do make using the range VERY convenient. So far we have been very happy with our purchase...hopefully it will prove to be dependable as well.

I have read so many reviews and was kind of scared of the money wise of this appliance! But let me tell you just go ahead and buy it! Top Notch in everything! Wouldn™€™t change my mind the only defect is that if you have a propane tank instead of natural gas make sure the professionals that install know what they are doing. The people my contractor hired messed up my burners small duds when changed it to propane and had to completely order new small duds. Other than that best decision ever!

Do NOT buy this range if you have kids, pets or elderly people living with you. The knobs can be easily turned on by just bumping or brushing up against them which will turn the gas and flames on. There is no aftermarket knob covers that fit these knobs and there is no lock out switch to engage to prevent accidental turn ons. GE blew me off when I contacted them about my concerns and that the range has been turned on at every family event simply by someone walking by and brushing up against the knobs. I have resorted to removing the knobs which is not what I should have to do in my luxury kitchen with my $6,000+ range.

I love this stove, it really is the perfect size. I like the different burner and cooktop size and the over all look. The only feature I would change is, the temperature knob for the oven is really easy to bump while the oven is on so you have to be extra cautious not to hit it. Wish it clicked into place a little more so it didn™€™t move quite so easily. Otherwise extremely pleased with this stove. Elevated the look of our kitchen for sure without completely breaking the bank. If you don™€™t want the huge 8 burner cooktop but the standard 30inch is too small this is the perfect compromise.

Arrived with rust on stainless

Ordered a full set of Cafe appliances that were installed about a month after I received due to wrapping up a remodel. Unwrapped 36™€ gas range that cost 6k after installation to find rust on the top apron. I called GE and they said they would send the part but won™€™t pay for it to be installed. So after spending a chunk on a brand new rusty range-they stick me with that bill too. On top of that the rack holder bar inside broke off. Poor quality-never again.

So we waited almost 8 months for this range to arrive. We were very excited to finally receive it. Once it was in the garage our gas technican was converting it to LP when we discovered several surprising and concerning issues. First, once we removed the back access cover to start the LP conversion we discovered only one gas regulator. The conversion instructions indicated there were "two". I reached out to GE and their engineers responded that there is only one regulator on the 36" model and they would update the instruction manual. Second, while we had the back access panel off we discovered over half of the 1/4" drive screws that basically hold this unit together were half way driven in. Many that supported the gas lines on the back of the unit were barely even threaded in. We spent a good hour going over the unit and tightening the loose screws. Several even fell out of the bottom of the unit when we moved it off the pallet. Third, when the gas tech went to install the gas line the shut off valve under the unit fell off in his hand. It was missing the retaining screw entirely. GREAT JOB GE for a gas line!!! Fourth, the instruction manual indicated to lift the back of the unit off the pallet and remove the toe kick piece from its shipping location prior to moving the unit off the pallet. To our surprise, there was no toe kick present on the pallet. Upon asking GE about this they indicated that no toe kick is shipped with this unit. So we pay, $7,000 for a high end range and you can't include a toe kick, but you can print it in the instructions. So we had to shell out $157 for a matching toe kick. We outfitted our entire kitchen with GE Cafe products. All the other units have arrived fine, except for this one. The quality of this product and the quality control of the manufacturing process ranks up there with some cheap unit you would purchase at Wal Mart or a second hand appliance store. I would not and will not recommend this unit to anyone.

Biggest oven space for a reasonably priced commerc

Full size catering sheet pan fits in the oven, and the Wok spiral burner is cool! Waiting on griddle insert, but that should round out what is a solid stove. I ditched a piece of cr*p Viking that was 2X the price and was the worst range I have ever had the misfortune to use...the Cafe is wayyyyy better....

Centerpiece of kitchen

Really looks impressive and the kitchen feels much more high end. First thing everyone sees and goes to. Really like the temp probe to cook large roasts perfectly. Definitely worth getting higher end cookware and bakeware to show what this thing can do.

Just installed today so these are very initial thoughts. Looks very well built. Burners look great. Oven heats up in 6 min and has steady temp. Black is not really black - more grey. There is no cut out or space in the back, so I need to have plumbing work done to push the stove against the wall. Currently it™€™s sticking out 10™€ from the counter. Timer is a bit hard to use and there™€™s no clock (this surprised me).

Great Even cooking & Beautiful

Range both performs and looks beautiful. Oven is bigger than it looks, stove top is "beefy" and holds up to our constant cooking. Glad not to have extensive amount of electronics as control panels don't typically last as long as the rest. Note - can clean under range, added bonus I hadn't thought of.
