I would give a worse review, but there is nothing less than one star. My wife and I ordered cafà dishwasher stove and a microwave in 2020. It took over a year for the stove to come in. By then the microwave was already out of warranty. So when I installed it, we got three or four months out of it. Then it quit on us. The dishwasher has been falling apart ever since. I™€™ve had to replace rollers. The top tray will not close because the upper spout has broken away from the top of the dishwasher and it prevents the Trey from opening and closing sometimes. The stove is good. But I don™€™t want to replace the microwave because it matches everything else. But I am pretty sure I™€™ll be forced to pick another brand because I do not want to support GE anymore. This has been a nightmare. And the products were way too expensive for the quality that we received.

I™€™m being as honest as I can be; this machine™€™s only good features are the light and the microwave function. I™€™m not going to say that anything else works™€"the air fryer part doesn™€™t actually air fry, and the oven part doesn™€™t function as an oven. I™€™ve just installed this unit and have had it for about four days, and it™€™s been working perfectly; nothing is wrong with it. None of the food gets warmed up when you use the air fryer. It doesn™€™t air fry at all. The oven doesn™€™t even work like an oven. It just heats up the inside of the microwave and leaves my food cold. If you already have this and can™€™t get a refund, at least it works as a microwave.

This microwave cooks well and has different options. Bake air fry etc. However, the process of choosing length of cooking time and strength of power is cumbersome and not intuitive. It takes a while (even with directions) to figure out and doesn™€™t give you many options. It wants to pick for you™€¦. Looks nice, functions well. I would purchase again but be aware there™€™s a learning curve!

This oven is a replacement for my previous oven that I purchased in 2019. That oven needed service after 2 years. When it needed service the second time, the cost was so great, he said I should just buy a new one. He said microwaves are not meant to be an oven AND a microwave. I was surprised that the previous metal combination on the new microwave is no longer available. I wanted to match my stove. I was mostly disappointed that I did not receive an owners manual. When I "chatted" with a GE rep, she sent me a form to fill out and add my credit card information to charge $5 and to be refunded. Really? I didn't do it. I don't think I should have to download the manual. I realize I can store the manual on my computer but it doesn't help if I am away and someone wants to us it. I have no idea how to use the air fryer function. The microwave is good looking but I sure hope I don't need to replace it anytime soon. So far I have only used the microwave function.

Disappointed and distraught

I have had this microwave for about15 months, yesterday it quit working. The heating does not work. Just prior to it stopped working there was smoke that smelled like burnt toast. I take very good care of my appliances and there was no kind of residue or food inside. I purchased this with matching stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. I am very scared that the same is going to happen where these fail and need repair or replacing. These are NOT cheep appliances and I expect them to last many years without problems! I cannot afford to replace these, I am on a fixed budget. They are beautiful, great capacity and easy to use. Until they fail.

This was where we were quite disappointed with buying this line. This microwave is extremely underpowered it only 950W. I mean, come on GE. Not only that, the vent fan is extremely loud. So every time you want to cook on the stove and use your vent, it's like you just started a turbo engine with not only the fan noise but a high pitch whistle. We even had the appliance store come over to check on it to make sure it wasn't installed wrong and unfortunately the guy said that's GE. Once again, come on GE. That high pitch sound is so loud You can hear it all the way on the second floor of the house. It almost makes the vent unusable. Then to add insult to injury, the air fry mode is nowhere near as good as the cheap countertop models you can get anywhere else. The back right will burn while the front left stays basically untouched. This microwave is extremely overpriced for the actual functionality. Once again, very disappointed.

Pros Nice looking microwave Does a good job of warming up the food, like the ability to do convection and air fry. Warms things up faster than my previous microwave which is good. Con's The sensor cooking is about worthless to us. Beverages heat liquids too hot. Good if I want really hot water, but not good if I want to rewarm a cup of coffee and be able to drink it in the next half hour. Same with reheating food, makes it way too hot. Seems like a simple programming fix, press the button once for kind of hot, a second time for the current, burn your mouth level.

I gave this 3 stars because if you spend over $1000.00 on a microwave you would expect to get a users manual, it could be part my fault that I don™€™t have a printer to download and print it out especially 60+ pages. I™€™ve tried to adjust the temperature settings for the air fryer from manual online, page 22 but it doesn™€™t work, after choosing manual mode, it says turn dial to adjust temperature setting, it goes straight to cook time, just one example. Would like to be able to go back and forth reading without scrolling and unable to make notes for future reference. Also at bottom below summit, it has an option to upload pictures or videos and it doesn™€™t work either.

Unfortunately this microwave just completely stopped working. It™€™s only 4 years old and I™€™m sorry but every microwave I™€™ve owned before this (for a fraction of this cost) lasted me much longer than that. It still turns and makes a sound like it™€™s microwaving, but the food just never heats up. DO NOT BUY cafe appliances - we also have the espresso machine and it™€™s leaked since day 1 and the grinder has recurring clog issues. Have never heard back from cafes customer service so have been stuck with it and now I™€™m stuck with a broken microwave that cost over $1000. Don™€™t make my mistakes :(

Fortunately this microwave is fairly intuitive to use. I've been happy with the features I've used. (Primarily sensor reheat and air fry.) I have not used the convection bake feature. My only complaint is that the "instructions" for how to use the different accessories included (pan and rack on legs) were non existent in the manual. I had to google, watch countless youtube videos and look on Reddit forums to understand it. I ended up buying a 3rd party air fry pan that works MUCH better than the accessories included. You would think that for such an expensive appliance that has so many features, that there would be better documentation and accessories.

Venting Issues!

Doesn't vent correctly. When set to vent outdoors it sucks from the top of the microwave (the spot where it would recirculate indoors if set that way). There is very little suction from the bottom. Grease builds up on cupboards and it's disgusting. Majoring of steam or smoke from cooking stays in the house. Would be dangerous if used over a gas range. Local shop that installed checked all venting and made m sure fans were set correctly. Seems like a serious design flaw.

This is the best micro. The design is beautiful, a piece of art in my kitchen. White with copper handles. Talk about usefulness, it™€™s so handy with the different setting options. I have just begun to use all of them. What a convenience to have an extra convection oven plus air fry! Unbelievable but true. This the perfect microwave with all of its features and its distinct outer design.

I am very pleased with the microwave! It performs exceptionally well, and the controls are user-friendly. The color is exactly what I was hoping for, adding a nice touch to my kitchen. We encountered a minor issue with the installation template, but overall, I consider it a fantastic product. Highly recommend!

GE has never steered me wrong. We bought the complete kitchen set and I am very pleased with the size of the product. The additional air frying ability is a bonus since there is one less appliance taking space on my counter

The convection and baking capabilities

You know you're a grown up when you get excited over a microwave. I wasn't planning to replace my old one but it was stainless and didn't look right with my new white Cafe appliances. I didn't realize what I was missing until I got this one hooked up and working. The controls are simple to figure out and the convection and baking capabilites will come in super handy this summer when I don't want to fire up the oven. Great microwave!

All style, no substance. Fatally flawed electrical design. The control panel is not insulated or protected from the range below, so moisture will cause the panel to become unresponsive and eventually short out. This has happened numerous times. The GE repairman said it was a bad design and will continue to reoccur. Not only that, GE won't cover it under warranty and the customer service is incredibly rude. $1000+ piece of junk. If that weren't enough, there is no way to specify time, you have to turn the knob to reach the desired time in increments. Ridiculous.
