Poor Customer Service

The hood works fine. I am extremely disappointed with GE Service. I moved into a new home and I did not immediately inspect all of my appliances. I noticed a few scratches on the hood and I called service. They sent out a tech to examine the scratches. It was determined that the scratches were cosmetic and thus not covered by warranty. When I called to have my case reviewed I was told that I had 24 hours to report such damage, thus I was not eligible for a new hood. They did offer to sell me a new hood to replace my two week old hood at a discounted price. Everyone that I spoke with followed the same script, no one could, or would look at my situation from a logical perspective. Very disappointed at GE Service.

Be aware the description on the website is wrong, they changed the build of the hood recently and did not update the website. GOOD JOB GE . This hood can not be vented out the rear like the website says. I will say it is really nice looking sitting in a box in my living room, wish we could have used it.
