This Frigidaire 18,800 BTU window air conditioner was so easy to install. My husband and son easily installed it with minimal effort. It fit perfectly in our window. My husband did have to install a 220 outlet so if you don™™t have one nearby this unit you will need to install one. This window air conditioner puts out some very cold air. We love that it comes with a remote and that it also has a heater. I love that it has a filter light reminder so you never forget to clean the filter. I love that it is super quiet when it™™s running. I have already started recommending this window unit to family and friends.

Really gets cranking on the cold air! Love that is has enough power to cool a large area. Easy to set up but did take two people due to the heaviness of the unit. Typical directional vents to force air in the direction of your preference. Programable to increase energy efficiency. This also doubles as a supplemental heat source so it makes it even more versatile. Runs smoothly and is fairly quiet.

I really like this AC. It's well made, easy to set up and cools quietly and efficiently and ir does so very fast! It was easy to install and connect to the app and the display is easy to read and easy to navigate. I especially appreciate the sleep mode because while I don't mind running the AC as I fall asleep I don't want to pay for excess electric and the timer helps ensure that my unit isn't running unnecessarily. The eco setting is also beneficial in this regard as once the room hits the targeted temperature, the unit goes into rest mode.

I've had a chance to see this unit in action. I have played with the features from Heat to Cool to fan only. I even purchased the additional HEPA filter for the unit. What an amazing difference. Heating: Its in our house on the ground floor which is about 1k SQFT. Its not open concept but we have a fan blowing from one room to the other. We set it to 66 degrees to keep the house warm. Not only does it keep the room comfortable but it keeps the whole ground floor comfortable. Its not overworking itself and is very quiet. Its like a hot air furnace but with the hepa filter attached you can smell the difference in the air. its amazing.Cooling: boy does this unit get the room chilly quick. We had a warm day and decided to fire it up (so to speak). It cooled down right away. The vent adjustments were great and really directed the air. We opened it up to fresh air from outside with the lever and it was just great. Not loud and wasn't running all the time. It turns on auto on its own to make sure the temp remains constant.Fan Mode: This was great on a day when it was nice outside using the open vent and the HEPA filter bring some fresh air inside while also filtering the air inside the house to just give the house a nice crisp fresh air feeling circulating it around. There are no downsides to this at all. A+++

I replaced my old outdated AC for this new Frigidaire 18,8000 BTU Window Air Conditioner and what was I surprised. At first glance I didn't expect much from it but after using it for awhile now my mind has changed. It's so powerful, it can cool a room in a jiffy. Plus it is so quiet, you can barely hear that an AC is on. It makes sleeping at night so much better, it allows me to breath the air in and makes me snore less. It's a little bulky but once it's set on the window you don't notice the size. The power compensate for the size. I can now enjoy the warmer weather even more.

We had a very old air conditioner with heat, that had been installed through the wall of our workshop, finally die. It served us well for decades and I was afraid we™™d have trouble finding a comparable replacement. After much research, we decided on the Frigidaire 18,800 BTU window unit. It offers air conditioning as well as heat which was of upmost importance to us. This unit was slightly larger than the one it replaced and required a newer version of outlet than the one we had so there were some modifications made but the installation was simple after that. The included hardware was perfect. This unit is super quiet and the remote control is a handy addition. It cools and dehumidifies like a champ and heats well too. We are very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

We installed the Air Conditioner in a large room in our barn on our farm, but I didn™™t realize when purchasing that it required a 230V outlet. We had to wait a few days to get the outlet upgraded, but once installed, it worked exactly as expected.This unit cools quickly and efficiently, even in the Florida heat, and the fan pushes great airflow throughout the space. This unit is massive. 18K BTU. But here's the kicker... It has HEAT and AC. I got the unit in promptly. It was a little heavy and the box was a little banged up. After opening it I found the front cover plate on the top corners were cracked and the filter inside was coming apart. I got replacements coming for these soon. I had to schedule to have a handyman come install the unit in my window.We both worked on the directions for installation that came in the box. Needless to say they are not so great. I'm very good at assembling things and the handyman was good at following directions but we both had a hard time figuring out the screws, which ones go where. The support mounts that come with it are a bit tiny for the unit, I would have expected something a little more substantial. Either way, we got it installed in the window and built a support outside to keep it upright. We left out the side pieces and built some plexiglass and wood siding that was much more insulated since this was going to be in the window from now till it bites the dust.Now that were in a cold spell I got a chance to try out the heat. My house is a older historic house so its not an open concept the downstairs portion of the house (where i installed this) is about 1000 SQ feet. I have for years heated the downstairs and upstairs with a wood stove. I decided to give this a spin. I strategically placed a floor fan and used my corner fans as well as my fan to blow the heat upstairs. The heat coming out wasn't hot it was like a forced air furnace it was warm and constant. I set it to 68 degrees and let it run. After about 24 hours of running (on and off, it really gave the house an amazing comfortable temperature. What is nice is it wasn't so dry like the wood stove. I checked it against my energy usage on my meter and it really wasn't making any huge spikes. I used the heat for a constant week trying warmer and colder on it. It has been Amazing. its not really loud even at full blast and it really kept the house so comfortable. The adjustments on the front for the blowing of air are nice. It gives you two separate settings for left / right and of course up and down. I am extremely happy with this unit so far. Just waiting on the replacement parts to come in. Great Job Frigidaire. ! I would highly recommend this!

This is best type of AC system you can get. This system produces ice cold air to cool down any space quick. It has so many features the we love too. The sleep mode is nice and keeps us cool all night. The filter is washable, so no need to replace. If the power fails, it starts back up when the power is restored. This system also has heat built right in. So it can also heat the area for us as well. I was surprised at how well it heats. The remote lets up easily control this sytem from anywhere in the room. It also has all the controls right on the front and easy to get to. This Frigidaire AC system is well built and will keep us comfortable year round.

This AC is easy to install and cools very quickly without being super noisy. The Frigidaire App is simple to jnstall and I had no problem adding this unit to my devices. I especially like the sleep mode because I can fall asleep knowing that the unit will turn off so I am not driving up my enegy costs. Also, the display is easy to read and the buttons on the unit and the remote are easy to navigate. Overall a this a sturdy AC unit that is well worth the cost.

This unit is monstrous, but it does fit in a standard size window. The Wi-Fi feature is amazing so you can control your unit anywhere. I™™ve been using this for about a week now and I love it. This supplemental heat is great. I never thought I™™d be able to use an AC unit in the winter time the cool function also works wonderfully blowing air. Exactly how you need it and it is ice cold as it should be. it is also pretty quiet, which is something I did not expect for such a big unit.

Good blast of air on high cools a large space quickly. Fairly easy to install and set up, but for me personally I needed a second person to lift and assist. Relatively quiet for an AC unit. We installed in 20™™x30™™well installed man cave. Installed through wall to replace old Frigidaire unit we bought new in 2016. A relay was burnt out & the main circuit board was ruined on that older unit. I wish that one had lasted a bit longer. But it has been such a good unit we stuck with Frigidaire. I bought one of these last year also for a 14x60 Mobil home. That unit is performing well & is all they used for heat. We purchased a Hisense unit a couple years ago that doesn™™t really blow warm air & also the fan will not kick off when heat goes off so it just blows cold air. You get what you pay for & I can guarantee you won™™t regret buying this Frigidaire. I will say the unit is heavy. Really need 2 strong men. Also be aware this is not a normal 110v plug so you will need to have a 220v wire run & outlet installed. Unless you have a lot of electrical knowledge leave this to an electrician. Frigidaire is the only brand we will buy

The unit is great. Very quiet. The outer casing was damaged in shipping, but we had ordered to replace an old one and it slid right into the existing casing. Easy installation. We use it to heat and cool my husband's workshop and our older Frigidaire lasted 15 years. Hopefully this one lasts as long!

I bought this unit for my great aunts house and it works great. She was using a Kerosine heater before and she said she believes this unit heats the house better than it did. She needed a better a/c unit than what she had and figured we may as well get a unit that could do both. It™™s quiet and work really well we are very happy with this product.

This unit replaced an almost identical unit I use for my main living/kitchen area. Haven't used heat yet since it's not winter yet here in Florida. I was hoping it would be quieter than the old one but it is not...possibly even louder. Wish there was something they could do to keep it quieter.

Frigidaire is by far the most superior window unit I have ever seen! I put this in the kitchen window (above the tongue) of mobile home (in kitchen) The mobile home is 14x60, 2br, 2ba, the back 3/4 of mobile home is in direct sun from 10am until dark. In South Mississippi it gets very hot & humid in summer. This beast of an air conditioner cools the entire mobile home! You can feel the breeze of air it is pushing from the hallway about 25™™ from the unit. My husband had to put another big breaker in at the power pole & run a bigger wire under ground up to the mobile home. From there he left the wire laying under the mobile home. With an extremely large drill bit, he drilled from underneath, into the wall. Cut out wall & installed the large outlet box in wall. The outlet came from Lowes & says it is a dryer plug. It was the only outlet they had to fit this cord. You can order a different type of plug on Amazon that attaches to the wall & goes straight down through the floor for easier installation. We just preferred to have it flush with wall. If you don™™t have some knowledge of electrical I would suggest hiring an electrician to do this. The unit is heavy. Really a 2 person job or one really strong man. We have an older model Frigidaire 220 unit in my husbands workshop 20™™x40™™. We bought it new over 10 years ago. It is still going strong. I hope the heat works as good on this new one as it does on the old one. Unfortunately it™™s to hot here to really check the heat setting right now. I also have a Frigidaire 110 unit with heat it™™s probably over 15 years old. Still works great! The heat doesn™™t get as hot as the old Frigidaire 220 in the workshop. Still it gets the job done in a bedroom with bathroom. I have a 1 year old Hisennce 220 unit. Purchased at Lowe™™s only because they did not have any Frigidaire units in stock. I needed one that day because it was Aug in South Mississippi & my central quit. Do not buy Hisennce!!! It is junk. It doesn™™t push the air as hard. The heat is barely warm. It doesn™™t shut off when it reaches desired temp. When using the heat setting & it gets to desired temp the heat shuts of & it blows freezing cold air. The attached photo is the plug on this unit. I had a little trouble figuring this out. The customer service message rep did not even know.
