HORRIBLE PRODUCT AND TEAMWORK

Refrigerator would never get cool enough. Shouldn™€™t keep milk for a week. Temperature selection turn as cool as it would go. Driving me crazy. Thought is was just a piece of junk but turns out it™€™s worse then junk. Fan has never been working in fridge since it was installed brand new 5 months ago. My wife had to buy it while I was away and she never really paid any attention to how not cool the fridge was getting honestly because in all honesty the fridge was brand new and was installed by your professionals they we were charged extra for so really why would she think that a brand new broken refrigerator would be installed and not notice by your professional install team. NOT HAPPY AT ALL !!!!!

My fridge is only 7/8 years old and the ice machine broke 2 years ago and now the refrigerator is no longer cooling- it™€™s around 58°. Oddly the freezer works. This isn™€™t the stress anyone needs with a big expensive appliance. ( also my matching microwave broke 3 years ago as well)

I would love to rate higher but this is a replacement for a failed unit. It is not a profile like the original (I am not complaining as I was asked prior to replacement) but rather than wait the 4+ months to "fix" the old one again, I chose a lese model. So far (1 month) it has worked well but we'll see if it holds up as poorly as the last one.

Bad compressor after 3 years

This unit was purchased in 2022 and the compressor has gone out in 2026, cannot be fixed , no licensed freon technicians in my area who will work on it. I did purchase an extended warranty on it so they have provided funds for a new unit after 10 days

Extremely Disappointed After Just 3 Years

I™€™m incredibly disappointed with this fridge. After only three years of normal household use, the compressor completely seized and the starter failed as well. I expected a major appliance to last significantly longer, especially considering the price point. The biggest shock? The cost to repair it is nearly as much as buying a brand-new fridge. That™€™s just unacceptable for something that™€™s supposed to be a long-term investment. A major appliance like this shouldn't fail so quickly or so catastrophically. I take good care of my appliances, and this wasn™€™t due to misuse or neglect. It™€™s clearly a case of poor quality or subpar components. I would strongly recommend thinking twice before purchasing this model, or anything from this brand, frankly, if you™€™re expecting reliability and longevity. I tried contacting GE's customer service, knowing my warranty had expired. After a lengthy wait, I was disconnected and no one ever called me back. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere

This supersedes any previous attached review my refrigerator is dead. We had to purchase another one. I purchased a Maytag. I would never purchase a GE appliance at all ever again. This refrigerator lasted me five years and nine months. My last GE lasted 35 as stated in previous reviews, this company is doing this intentionally all they care about is making money. This is nothing but corporate greed planned obsolete products so they can sell you more. I warn you do not buy a GE appliance 5 1/2 years in the house. I am on my third microwave. Poor Reliability

I am very disappointed in this refrigerator. I bought it in 2023 and it failed with the first months. After a lot of hassle GE finally had a technician come out and the refrigerator required a new compressor. The compressor was replaced and the refrigerator has failed again. It is no longer under warranty so I called a repair service. The technician found the compressor has failed again. I contacted GE about my complaint and have received no response.

This is our second purchase from this line of GE refridgerators. We left our last when we sold our house and new that we liked it so that was directly where we went. It is an overall good unit, plenty of space, movable shelving. Keeps everything nice and cold as it should. The only thing is it appears the "butter door" area is gone now? not sure what the actual name is but liked the ability to keep certain things there.

Items missing from old unit are bottom ice maker, now its an option, the butter shelf, the temperature adjustable lower drawer and door shelf liners. Definitely not quite the same as the old one.

Terrible customer care

I am a true believer in the GE Brand, however my eyes have been open to another side of GE customer care and service. I like the capacity, configuration, efficiency, shelving and the color. BUT...... This refrigerator was delivered on June 3 installed by Home Depot. I left for vacation, returned home a week later to a hot fridge and the smell of rotting food in the new fridge. I had to throw out ALL the food in the fridge/freezer and clean up some hot meat juice in the freezer. (Gaging the whole time). I am sure we all know how expensive groceries are. GE said it would issue a $125.00 gift card to help with food replacement.(still don't have) Well that will never replace the amount of meat I trashed. I immediately called Home Depot and because it was outside of the first 48 hours I was transferred to GE. I was given a case number and an appointment for a service provider to come see what the issue was. Service provider never contacted me, when I reached out to him he informed me (very rude and un professional) that GE does not set his schedule and he only comes to my area once a month and that it would be Saturday June 14th (what?) So, I waited never heard from him (Davis Group from Dallas area) called Home Depot again. The person answering the call explained the rules about the process again, after we chatted about the situation she suggested she call the Davis Group and it would be on a recorded line. She did so and he was rude to her also and said he would not be out until the following Saturday June 21. Two weeks now no refrigerator. Monday June 16 on the phone with GE again to try and find another service provider (amazing there is one in my town, why was he not chosen the first time?) They came out on Wednesday June 18th. Refrigerator has a Freon leak which is a big deal. Back on the phone with GE it will be 7 to 10 days to get approval for a replacement and then another 7 to 10 days for the replacement to be delivered. On the phone with Home Depot again, (at this point I hate the phone.) Home Depot finally issued me a credit for the refrigerator and setup a time to pick it up. Also, ordered me a new fridge for a little bit of a discounted price, but the order didn't go thru (have no idea why). Home Depot picked up the no good fridge on June 25th but no new fridge. On the phone again reordered the fridge. Finally a month later Home Depot delivered a new refrigerator on July 1, 2025. GE finally sent a replacement to an appliance store in my town, they want to deliver it on July 8th. Well guess they can keep that one. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED AND DIGUSTED WITH THE WAY THIS WAS HANDLED. IT BLOWS MY MIND THAT MY FAMILY AND I WERE EXPECTED TO GO WITHOUT A REFIGERATOR FOR A MONTH. NOW THE NEW WASHER I BOUGHT AND WAS DELIVERED ON JUNE 3 WILL NOT SPIN AND MAKES A VERY LOUD NOISE. HERE WE GO AGAIN. TERRI

Overall extremely satisfied however, the plastic wrap that was applied to the doors for protection seem to have had the rubber gasket seal glued on top of it which has made it nearly impossible to remove even w/ tweezers. Honestly this is something not worth complaining about just wish these brilliant engineers had to use the stuff they design before shipping it to customers. Outside of that we love the fridge everything we need without too much technology to jack with. Perfect for people that don't want or need theie fridge to be controlled from a phone. It got cold quickly and so far is running great.

This is a new refrigerator as of 5/20/25. It does not come with an owner's manual, but a QR code that gets you to a GE page with links for the owner manual, but the links do not work. Also, the refrigerator's protective plastic is put on in such a way that you cannot get it all off. I have had this refrigerator for 3 hours, and my experience already sucks.

The refrigerator has the space I expected. It™€™s roomy but is configured insufficiently. The ability to adjust the shelves for larger containers would help. Also, more compartments for items such as eggs would be helpful. It also occasionally makes a weird noise.

This the second and exactly the same GE frig we've bought. We love the style and capacity, especially the dual ice makers. Unfortunately, early on we had to replace a $400.00 fan and the frig started growling recently (failing compressor), so we had to buy a new one. It's too bad you can't stand behind your product especially, when it's common knowledge by repairmen that the failed fan was about the 5th hed had to replace. There should have been a recall on the fan.

I love how much room this refrigerator has. The one thing that bothers me is the ice maker doesn't produce enough ice.

This GE Refrigerator has it all. double doors with ice maker inside door left side for smaller shelve items and right side larger shelve space for bigger items. 3 shelves inside to accommodate all your food. Freezer with large compartment deep and inside shelve. I am loving this fridge. GE has been manufacturing a very long time and has changed products to meet the needs of women in today's world. Great Job GE you are the best. In fact I just purchased a new washer and dryer combo, it will be delivered tomorrow by Home Depot, great price, great delivery service.

Not enough ice not enough chilled water. Freezer and frig works great and it's finish is very attractive. We bought the dishwasher to match and it will be here on 4-18-25.

The right side, large door pockets are adjustable. The smaller, left door pockets are removable but not adjustable. Its large capacity is well organizable.The main shelving is customizable. Overall this makes the unit very user friendly. The temp for the fridge and freezer are adjustable. The removable ice bin in the door is nice. Big door pockets make it efficient to quickly remove frequently used items without going deeo into the fridge.

Profile slate finish 3/23/2025

Fridge has a nice color/texture finish that does not show fingerprints. Decent capacity. But it's the second one I've had to buy in less than seven years because fridge stopped getting cold. To repair would have been expensive and it may or may not have fixed the problem. I had to get the same model because I have slate finish on the double oven (which I had to replace two years ago) and the dishwasher which I had to replace last year! All appliances less than seven years old. So, I suggest anyone deciding on whether to purchase these models/finish to think twice.

We just received our new refrigertor today it looks beautiful . We purchase GE Gas Stove in the color of Slate and after that our old refrigertor looked out place. Slate does not leave fingerprint BIG Bonus. We love color it much better than stainless steel.

I can™€™t say anything about how it works yet. It was just installed. But the shelves are pretty flimsy and I can™€™t get all the packaging material out so at the corners and seam lines it looks dirty. Some of the material is white so it really stands out on the slate color. Also didn™€™t get an owners manual. Have no idea how to set temps.

We bought this refrigerator and originally loved it. However, after only owning it for 3 years the compressor went bad and one drawer won™€™t stay in. We reached out to GE and they were rude and unhelpful since it was no longer under warranty. Out $2700 on this and definitely won™€™t recommend anyone buying GE.

Bought brand new and only got 34 months out of it. The compressor failed and it was out of warranty. I spent $6,000 on all new GE appliances for my kitchen and $2,800 of it was for this junk. I™€™ll never personally buy or professionally spec another GE appliance ever again. Your service is awful and I™€™m out a lot of money.
