I bought this beginning of January. Several things--delivered with a nick on the side (I ordered white which is more expensive), scratch on stove top, top oven rack if on the bottom hits the door when pulled out, there was condensation "between" the glass after using the lower convection oven which did dissipate and the glass door on the top oven was clear and the bottom oven had a rainbow hue to it. Strange two different looking glass doors.They sent a repairman but he couldn't do anything about any of those things. I called and asked for a new one but they told me because I had it more than 14 days and it was used, they wouldn't replace it. How would you know if it had these flaws if it wasn't used? It was less than a month old. I called Whirlpool's CEO's executive team and it was replaced which I greatly appreciated. How many people know to do that? The top oven rack still hits the door which doesn't lay completely flat so that is a flaw in the design. Both doors are now the same which a rainbow hue. It's a pretty blue inside the ovens, but I wish I could have seen this somewhere before I bought it directly from Kitchenaid.

Beautiful range; bad rolling rack

This is a beautiful range and I love the double ovens, and the smooth top is so easy to clean compared to the old stove that was in our house when we moved in. That being said....the rolling rack that is provided for the oven is DANGEROUS. There is no safety curl at the back of the rolling rack; it was around my 2nd use of the oven when a pan slid off the back of the rack into the oven as I was stirring!! Luckily the rack was low and it wasn't too much of a mess but this is a real safety deal. I've been cooking for a long time and have never seen a rack without a safety curl at the back (which is meant to keep the cookie sheets/pans from sliding back into the oven!!)!!! When we went to the dealer about this to see if there was an alternative, he told my husband to have me "take it easy and be careful!" What I feel I must do is buy a regular rack and I'll throw away this rolling one that was provided...a shame, since I realize it rolls out for easy access to the food, but not if the food falls off the back of the rack!!!

It's living up to my expectations. The oven cooks evenly. The stove top boils quickly and simmers nicely. The bread proofing was an added bonus, which I am enjoying. I had an old Maytag double oven which I LOVED. I was sad to see it go and nervous to replace it. The only dislike with this new one is the solid black glass cook top. It's shiny and hard to keep it looking nice. The Maytag also had a Schott Ceran glass top, but it was black with white speckles, it was very forgiving. I think that's about the only thing I'd change right now.

Panel buttons are hard to press

I chose This model for the double oven. That part is very nice and I™™m happy with it. I wanted white to match my kitchen. I deducted one star because The color white was significantly higher cost than black or stainless steel. I deducted the other star because the one must press very hard on the panel to get the buttons to respond. And when you use the timer and it is finished, you can™™t just turn it off When it sounds. You have to hit the button to turn it off which turns The timer back on and then you have to hit it again to turn it back off. So essentially you hit it three times to turn it off. It™™s something you get used to, but it seems silly Two To press When you press it once and be done.

WHO Designed Knobs & Cooking Surface? A Lunatic?

We've had this range for two months. We had a white KA range/double oven in 2013 and loved it. But this version had been redesigned and not for the better. The ovens are fine. But the controls knobs are HORRIBLE. What moron designed these? High and low settings are 1/2" apart. Either you burn food or it doesn't heat at all. You can't tell where medium is. It's a guessing game. And the downloadable manual has BASICALLY NO INSTRUCTIONS. The cooking surface is terrible too. Tiny faint dots show you where to put the pan. Was this considered "cute?" I don't want "cute", I want "rings." The dots look like cracker or bread crumbs.. We keep thinking the surface needs to be cleaned. We can never tell if the pan is on the burner, or off to the side. The cooking surface also smears when cleaning it --- and yes, we have the correct glass top cleaner and pads. We hate this range and regret buying it. Oh, and after waiting TWO MONTHS for this range to be manufactured and delivered, I called in JANUARY to register it (it's now late MARCH). The gal I talked to said oh sure I can do that for you. Guess what? She didn't. So I tried repeatedly. I took me ANOTHER two months to register it on the site. I kept getting error messages, or the site would freeze. We trusted KitchenAid. We don't now. If KA/Whirlpool were looking to create an Easy Bake Oven for kids to play with, fine. We adults are cooking, not playing. We want our money back.

Love Double Oven / Cooks Great

We've had our range for a few months now and I am very happy with it. I've figured out most of the features, but haven't tried the convection feature yet. We have all white appliances in our kitchen, so I was glad we were able to get the range in white too. I've gotten compliments on it. It looks great. Some places I looked online didn't carry white. Oven & cooktop cooks very well. It just took a little while to figure adjusting burners, but I'm pretty much used to it now. The only minor negative for me is the dots on top surface indicating where the burners are. When I walk by it, I sometimes think there is something on it. When we have family dinners, my daughters try to clean off the dots too. I personally think it would look better if it had the circles instead of the dots. For me it would be easier to see where to center pots & pans, especially on the multi-size burners, instead of trying to locate the dots. But as I said, this is just a minor annoyance. Having a double oven is great. Overall I really like my range & I would recommend it.

Cook top is crowded and awkward to use. Placement of burners not well thought out for multiple burner use. Control for the variable size burner crams single, and dual burner use adjustments together (knob split to 50% three burner, 25% single burner, 25% double burner) so as to limit burner settings making them difficult to adjust. Ovens take forever to preheat, but do cook evenly once they're ready.

I've had this range for 3 years and it continues to disappoint. The stove top either cooks on HIGH or not at all. There's no medium. We've already replaced 2 of the knobs and have another broken now. They are made of cheap Asian plastic. Removing things from the bottom oven are difficult because the oven handles stick out too far. I've dropped more plans of food that I want to count due to hitting the pan on the top oven handle. This one sucks, find another brand or model.

Received the Wrong Stove!!!!

Hello all, i was so excited when I purchased this stove, and so bitterly disappointed when it fnally arrived. As it happened, the folks at KitchenAid used the exact same model number (KFED500EWH) for two different stoves! So you can imagine my surprise disappointment when a different stove arrived, and not the one that I had ordered. Many, many phone calls and emails to KitchenAid did not get me anywhere. In the end, I just made peace with the stove that came as I needed a stove. The stove that arrived is still very nice, BUT it is not the stove that I ordered, or the one that I would have ordered. This whole mess could simply have been avoided had KitchenAid used a different model number for two different products. Why use the same model number for two different stoves (KFED500EWH). Who would in their right mind would do something like that? So buyer beware! I like the KitchenAid brand, but i cannot let myself by another KitchenAid product as I have no assurance of what the heck I would get.

My wife and I bought this double oven about two and a half years ago. We absolutely hate this overpriced oven. We have had several service calls and controllers and circuit boards replaced. This oven still takes forever to heat and does not maintain a steady heat setting. DO NOT BUY THIS OVEN. KitchenAid is owned by Whirlpool. When we purchased this oven, we also bought a Whirlpool refrigerator and dishwasher. We have been unhappy with them all. Buy GE, in my opinion, they make a superior product for less money.

I bought this in June 2024, I declined the first one delivered July 5 because the back adjusting leg was broken and couldn't level the stove. The second stove wasn't delivered until August 2. When checking out the operation the top oven made a popping noise. Had Home Depot person come out and by the time he showed up the noise had quit. He looked online and it said that could happen until everything got lined up. It was a stressful 2 months. Had to download the operator's manual from the internet. The manual did not explain what the word melt meant on the back left burner. It did not have a picture showing the top and identifying what each burner was. However, they did have a statement that said Don't cook food on the stove top, like anyone does that.

We wanted a double oven to replace our older one. The smaller upper oven is the 'go-to' oven for most of our baking projects, but the larger lower oven is important for breads and multiple trays of cookies. So far, we like the convection feature, but we need to learn to time things and set temps accordingly. The cook surface takes some getting used to. The warming burner is a new concept for us. It is good for keeping a pot of rice warm. The multiple sizes on the front-left burner work out well for our cooking needs. I like the variety of wattages on the cook surface, helping us choose the right burner for the right job. One disappointment we have is that the cook surface already has a few scratches on it, just from moving or sliding a pot here or there. The scrapes seem permanent, and it is a little sad to have it marred so soon.

I've had this a little over a month now. Works well. Gotta get used to the knobs/burner locations. (Which knob works which burner). The only problem that I can see so far is that when the oven lights are turned on....they both come on. No way to work the upper and lower lights individually.

The double oven is great! Love the option of using the oven as convection or regular baking. The only downside is the stove top, there is one small multi heating burner. Not sure why Kitchen Aid decided it was necessary to have a melting burner when it could be a multi heat burner the same size as the other rear burner. Let the cook decide the temperature for cooking, the burner does not get hot and worthless for me. Also, not sure why there are two extra large burners? One would be enough.

I bought one from Lowe™™s, waited six months for delivery and today 18 months after installation the control board is out of whack according to repair man. The Lowe™™s delivery folks put a 4 foot scratch in my wood floors and it took four months to get reimbursed. Paid big bucks $2,200 + for junk. The last few months the lower oven temperature was consistently lower than the set temperature. One of the top burners had one coil that would barely heat up and the small upper oven over-heated for the first 10-15 minutes, just enough to overcook cookies. To top it off the repairman said a replacement control board is no longer available. DON™™T BUY ONE!

What a disappointment. The oven temperatures are so off and even recalibrating them does not affect their 25+ degree cycling. We had to build a stand for the stove to reach countertop height and I still have to kneel on the floor to take things in and out of the lower oven. The burners come up to temperature then cycle cooler and then reheat so food takes longer to cook and cooks unevenly. I would never buy this stove again!!

We had to readjust the plastic legs after delivery and installment! Metal legs are much more durable like in the old days. This is a safety issue and bad design. Kitchen aid emblem is crooked on the lower oven door, this is being replaced with a new emblem by Stewart™™s where appliance was purchased. At the cost of $2248.95 this is unacceptable!!

Bought this stove a year ago. We hate it. The oven runs too hot. The front left burner, which supposedly accommodates 3 burner sizes, is impossible to regulate. It takes 45 minutes of constant fiddling to get the right simmer on a pot of spaghetti sauce. Tge right front burner, that has the fast-boil feature is good for boiling, nothing else. Even on ultra-low it is boiling. The top is always dirty looking. Very frustrating. Our old Maytag was not like this AT ALL. The only reason i bought it was because it's white and has two ovens. I can't wait to sell it and buy another Maytag in stainless steel, which I hate. But I hate trying to cook on this stove even more. Do not recommend..

Purchased this stove a year ago mainly for the double ovens, but the cook top is amazing also... The burners heat up quickly, cool down quickly and the heat distribution is awesome and your cookware cooks evenly and food is cooked/heated throughout .. We give this stove a 10+ with all the features, haven't had any issues with it, so no service repair required and excellent cooking abilities it has with the stovetop and the superb double ovens!! Worth every cent and highly recommend!!!!!!!

Love my stove. Some features good be a little more user friendly like the controls for too and bottom oven (too many buttons) but it cooks great. You do have to clean the top glass with the cleaner suggested often to keep it clean.

It's a really lovely range, love the blue interior and the double ovens. My only issue is I've had it a while and hoped I'd get used to the electric hobs by now. But I can't seem to find the sweet spot between "boiling" and "off." Still, I bought it after the news about childhood asthma and gas stoves. And since I put it in, my small daughter isn't frail and ill anymore. Within about a week, you could see: she's fine. That's worth figuring out the finesse on the hot plates.

Features to improve: 1) supply a user manual, so I don™™t need to go online. 2) digital display should indicate upper/lower oven in use, 3) timer should sound continuously when time is up, or be able to adjust interval & volume, 4) lights for ™cooktop on™™ and ™hot surface™™ need to be bigger, 5) supply a sample of cooktop cleaner.

Five burner, Dusl oven Range

So far so gods. Only had it a few weeks so haven™™t tried all of the functions but the ones we™™ve used work great. Have used the small top I™™ve and love it. Am eager to try the convection oven. My only wish is to have a white top instead of black which is hard to keep smear free.

The cooktop can be frustrating as the multi size burner seems to heat very slowly. The oven doesn™™t want to slide all the way back to the wall because of how it is designed, so sticks out about 2™. This range is nice, but for this price, it doesn™™t really wow me.

Oven takes a very long time to preheat, the anti-tip feature makes for a real pain when installing, the burners are way to hot at even the lowest setting and the oven as well. You cannot bake a frozen pizza directly on the rack or it will burn. Not very happy. We also do not like the little whit marks showing the limits of the burners...it makes the cooktop constantly look dirty.

Six years went so fast. I wanted a range with two ovens that each have its' own temperature setting and two doors. I have seen all the rest and bought the best. I have this range 6 years and had service one time for a dial that broke. Sometimes I will use just the top oven and the bottom for big roasts. I can bake and roast that the same time. How Lucky I AM..I also have a KitchenAid Microwave which matches my range and a Dishwasher also. I justt love my appliances
